THE RESURRECTED
SAVIOR
By Jemima Rayan
"He is risen," said the
angel in Matt 28:6. Paul proclaimed the 'resurrected
Jesus'
in Acts 4:10. Lazarus came
out of the grave, in the mortal body. But, Jesus was the first
one who came out of the grave in the glorified body. He was
one of its kind. Hallelujah!
'Resurrection of Jesus Christ':
1. Resurrection of Jesus Christ brings 'Eternal Life':
Jesus never came to the earth to start one more religion.
No, never! He came to give life, and life more abundantly (John
10:10) Jesus came to give life to the dead humanity. Jesus
came as the Messiah of the Jews. He came as the Savior of the
World. He came as the Son of the Living God. Amen.
Paul says in Rom 1:3,4 ...concerning His Son Jesus Christ
our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the
flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according
to the Spirit of holiness, by
the resurrection from the dead.
Peter says in 1Pet 1:3,4, 'Blessed be the God and Father of
out Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy
has begotten us again to a living
hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance incorruptible
and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven
for you.
There are many religious leaders all over the world. But they
are all dead and gone. But 'JESUS
LIVES'.
Who doesn't want to live long?. Women do not want others to
know their age. They even want to cover up the wrinkles in
their faces. 'People want to stay young'. Some don't want to
talk about death. We don't like funeral services. Have you
wondered why? The answer is death, though inevitable, is not
a desirable subject. No one wants to die. But the good news
is you don't have to. 'We have
a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from
the dead'. Amen.
2. Resurrection of Jesus Christ brings 'Salvation':
Paul says in Rom 10:9,10 that if you confess with your mouth
the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
Salvation is so connected to the resurrection. We are saved
only when we confess in out mouth that God raised Jesus from
the dead. There is no other way.
Paul says in Rom 14:9... Christ
died and rose and lived again,
that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. 2Cor
5:15 declares...He died for all, that those who live should
live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them
and rose again.
All the above verses talk about Christ, the resurrected. 'He
is the Lord and Savior'. Christ did not die for the Christians
alone but He died for all, for the lost humanity.
3. Resurrection of Jesus Christ 'sets you in authority':
Jesus says in Mat 28:18,19 All authority
has been given to Me in heaven and on earth Go therefore
and make disciples of
all the nations... We need to go in the name of Jesus and you
will see the demons cast out according to Mark 16:17. The Devil
trembles at the name of Jesus. Every knee shall bow and every
tongue shall confess that "Jesus Christ is Lord" (Phil
2: 10,11)
Jam 4:7 says 'Resist the enemy and he will flee from you'
We have the right to use the name of Jesus and drive out the
enemy. Praise the Lord for the blessed privilege.
Eph 1:19-22 talks about the great power in the resurrection
of Jesus Christ, which put all things under His feet and gave
Him to be the head. Isn't that good!
We are not a weak bunch of people who are beating against
the bush. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.
Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ (1Cor 15:57) Amen.
Jesus gave us the authority. The same authority which Jesus
had over the enemy is transferred to us. Isn't that great?
Jesus said in Luke 10:19 ,'I
give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions
and over all the power of the enemy
and nothing shall by any means hurt you'. This eliminates all
the possibility of the enemy hurting you. Don't ever let any
one talk you out of this great truth.
God does not want you to be ignorant. Do not be scared of
the enemy. He is a defeated foe. You can cast out demons in
Jesus' name. You already have the authority. Take the authority
and stand in the name of Jesus. You will soon see the enemy
flee from you.
"Go forth in the resurrection power and be victorious
in Jesus' mighty name" Amen.
