CHRIST IN YOU
By Jemima Rayan
When you are 'in Christ', you
are a new creation. Your spiritual journey begins when you accept
Christ in your life. After that, God works His way to His fullness
in you.
You in Christ:
God has made you unique in every
way. There has never been, and never will be, another individual
just like you. You need to know what it means to be 'in Christ'.
You were born of the Spirit of God. The seed of the word of God
is sown in your heart. And you are placed in Christ. Eph
2:13 says, 'But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far
off are made nigh by the blood of Christ'
2
Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature. There are more than 100 scriptures
that refer to being "in Christ". These scriptures belong
to you and me because you are in Christ Jesus. Because you are
in Christ Jesus, you can be like Him. You can talk like Christ,
and do like Christ.
The Word says that when you made
Jesus the Lord of your life, you became one spirit with Him. You
are in Him. God sees you in Jesus. God does not see you and Jesus
separately. You and Christ are united. God looks at you in Christ.
He not only came inside you, but you went inside Him also.
Jesus
said, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall
ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7).
You are abiding in Him. You are the body of Christ.
Christ in you:
It is one thing to know that
you are in Christ but it is another thing to know that Christ
is in you. 1 Jn 4:4 says, 'Greater
is He that is in me than He that is in the world. That
is marvelous! The God Almighty has taken residence in you. That
is awesome! Col 1:27 says, 'To whom
God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory'.
God likes to dwell in us. He
wants to be our God. He doesn't want to leave us and go. He wants
to live inside of us and guide us continually.
2 Cor 6:16 says, 'I will dwell in them and walk among them. I
will be their God, and they shall be My people.' Rev 3:20 says,
'Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice
and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and
he with Me.
These scriptures tell us that
Christ lives in us. We are the dwelling place of the most High
God. He talks through us. He acts through us. He flows through
us. Isn't that good!
May you grow in the fullness
of Christ. Amen.
